That's a good start for gaining a little power. A good carb, intake, headers and exhaust system will change it enough to feel a little increase in power. If you had to keep costs down I'd just go with carb, intake and exhaust without headers.
The next step up would be a good cam kit, and a set of good heads added to this. Of course this all depends on the condition of your engine. If it's a solid engine these will help. If it's pretty tired I doubt much of these changes will make a lot of difference without a rebuild first.

seems to be a good motor, havent done a compression check

seems like the valves are just so worn out they dont even wanna open like they need to

i could see taking the heads off and being about a pound of carbon on the valves

port work here cost so much its not even worth it to get em cleaned up really
can the stock heads push any decent bench flow numbers after a valve job, port, and some wok done to em?

bout 300$ or so is what i paid for my ford e-7s i had done

Stock heads are just OK for mild street build. Wont move any huge amount of air, even ported. I've always preferred the old 1.94 or 2.02 heads, but they seem to be less in style these days with everyone opting for Vortec heads.
A stock set of Vortec heads will give you much more flow for very little expenditure.

4bbl with port on heads and intake stock stuff besides carb add anything??

Just wanna get 250hp
wanna leave ford ranger territory and get in like a foxbody or 4.6 mustang range
240-275 would be good for daily driven street

With some porting, a good dual plane intake, and a 650 Holley with vacuum secondaries, you could get near 250 HP, but to be certain you'd probably want to get a little more cam. Summit sells their cam kits for small blocks complete with lifters for around $90. They're made by reputable mfgs. and sold under the Summit brand name, but good stuff. I've had one in my 427 for 10 yrs.

Hey josh75camaro- just saw your post- cool to see another 75 Camaro. (By the way 1971BB427, I read about your brake fail- pretty wild, glad everything worked out). I got my 75 about a year ago. Obviously I'm biased, but their great.
Looking forward to see what you do with it. Good stuff.
