Thanks, The paint looks good from 20 feet lol But it is all faded even after a wax and i touched up some marks on the body. So that's why i am wanting to paint it.

As for the go fast goodies all in due time lol I do have some goodies now a mild cam edelbrock performer intake and carb on the fresh rebuilt motor and the shift kit to go with it lol I know there is alot more that i could do but as i go it will get done

Sounds like you've got a good solid engine with a few extras. I'd agree with proceeding with body and paint, and if more performance is wanted it can follow a bit at a time later. I never seem to run out of things I want to do, just funds to do them!

My 78 is the same way. 50/50 car for real. I already am plotting how to spend next years tax refund. Thats the only time I have large amounts to spend on the car. Fortunitly I built the motor last year and did my suspention this year. I can get all my paint for alittle over 400 so I'm saving for that right now. Its the guys over on the nasty sit with the disposable income. LOL

lol i wish i could spend my tax refund lol I most of the time put $100 away here and there when i can As i have a 2 year old and a 6 month old that comes first as like every parent. But i think it is better this way for me as it will take me longer to build it and i will appreciate it more in the end.

Look into Equus gauges. They look just like Autometer but cost like 1/3 of the price.
