WOW, I just fell in love with my new z28,guy game me a box which has all the original paperwork given to the original owner from the dealer, the paperwork when the car came off the trailer, delivery paperwork, original sales paperwork, build sheets, all receipts from 1981 until 2012 when he sold me the car, this is amazing! The car far exceeded my expectations it is in amazing original condition. The funny part is when I went to get the car yesterday The owner told me of a 1980 camaro that is for sale on craigslist. Turns out it is my 80 z28 I sold last year! Nothing was done to the car other then a 5k difference in price the guy wants for it.
Well here are some pics of the 81... Enjoy.

Yep, he's a chevy guy all right, one question though, and i'm not dissing you, but who paints a chevy engine BLUE? otherwise all nice cars, especially that first gen camaro you got there. Bye the way, welcome, and a pic of the area in question might help us figure out where that spring goes, my addled brain can't remember that far back when I had 4 speed cars. A pic might refresh my memory, notice i said maybe, nothings for certain at my age. lol. Good luck

Sorry, brain fade, I forgot that GM started using engines not specific to a certain brand. My son's friend bought a 78 that had a blue engine, his was a 305 though. Like I said, at my age i'm lucky I remember where i live. Later

Buying a car where the seller has kept all those receipts is a good sign that he took very good care of it, and enjoyed it! Rare that anyone even keeps a car that long, let alone keeps all the paperwork!
I bought my '71 in '73 and it was no big deal to get all the papers then. I've since kept all the papers, plus warranty card, build sheet, and every receipt I've gotten over the last 39 years. It's interesting now to look thorugh the folder and remember the things I bought, and why I bought them. I even found time slips dating back to 1973 that were hand written, not printer sheets like today's strips use!
