Default Need some advice

I've been looking around ebay and craigslist etc and this seems like a really good deal...

This guy is selling a '71 Camaro with a new engine with less than 500 miles on it for $9,000 (asking) said he'd go lower but didn't specify how low. I asked if he'd go $5-6g's and he said no (as to be expected) but he did say he would consider taking my '93 camaro as a trade off the price. Here are some pictures of this excellent Camaro.

This is the car of my dreams!

I don't have the money for it right now but my mother is selling our house and if the guy still has it by the time we sell it my mom said she could probably get it for me, I figure with my '93 camaro (153k miles and fair share of small problems) i could talk him down to 7.5 or so maybe...what do you guys think, awesome car or what?

The only thing the guy said is wrong with it is that it needs a new interior. I sat in it and it didn't looks bad. I can believe how clean this car looks and sounds. He started it up for me I didn't get to drive it.

looks like a pretty good car, i think its worth it, give it a shot and see if he'll take the 5-6 thousand for it, i doubt he will but you can always get lucky, good luck with it.

Looks good for the price but I would cwawl under and check the condition of the frame rails, especially in the rear. No problem with getting them replaced but it will cost a bit. Ask him how old the paint is. If its too new, check the fenders for rust. New paint will hide a lot, temporarily.

um i wouldnt say its worth 9k, but first thing would definately check for rust around the car. and if he wants the 93 trade it but make sure you dont give him more then 2-3k after.
