Default Should I get this?

Hi, I am new here so sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.

I am looking to get my first Camaro and spotted one located not too far from me south of the boarder (Im in Canada).
The car is a 1971, with an upgraded 350 V8 and a turbo 400 auto tranny. Seller tells me car is more or less rust free with exception of trunk. Paint re-done few years ago and looks good.
From Seller:
The trunk is the only area with any rust, and it is just a few tiny holes, barely any and they are only at the rear of the pan on the passenger side. The windshield has a one line crack on the passenger side that is not able to spread, but it is a flaw. The undercarriage does not have any rust and the frame is perfect. Under the hood is great, and mechanically this needs nothing. All the mechanics and electronics work perfectly. The body is very solid and the paint is shiny but not a $5000 paint job.
He is asking almost 9K for it but says he will do 8K. Comes with the stock rims but is pictured with 20"s. Everything looks good in the photos and as described but I have not seen the car in person yet.

I would love opinions on whether this looks like a good a deal and if it would be a good first camaro. looking to use it as a daily driver until winter hits-

Here are photos:

Thanks in advance

I would look that car over really good. From the looks of the interrior and engine bay it looks like the fresh paint may be coverin up some rust. It's a nice car, just make sure he's not hidin anything

How could I tell if there is rust underneath the paint? Any signs to look for?

Here are some other photos of trunk and undercarriage etc-

if theres alot of bubbles then yea rust can be a probem..cuz if its like my dads truck if you push on that bubble your finger will go throught...from the looks of it he threw a fresh coat of paint to make it look pretty and get a better price for it....im not good on prices but in my opinion it doesnt really look like an 8k car too me...my 2 cents tho...the choice is all yours

I'll be the first to say that I know nothing about Camaro's, however, I would not pay 8K for it, not unless the insaide was completed and the engine area was cleaned up, providing the rust was not bad too.

I agree with what you guys are saying- I will provide the seller with a counter offer and otherwise wait for another car to come along.

Thanks everyone for your help!
