Default My blinkers wont BLINK

i messed up and accidently crossed a wire when hooking up one of my toggle switches.. it sparked and smoked ect ect.. then in a hurry i tore it out.. but before i messed with the switch i made shure the blinkers worked... but now they dont. ive relpaced the blinker fuse and still no blink. its kinda anoying sticking my arm out the window to signal.. its not a modelT for god sakes. i dont have the money for a voltometer so i cant check the current. but does anyone have any ideas of what it could be.?? please help me im at a toltal loss when it comes to electrical.

Not knowing where you grabbed power from, I can only make a guess. It's possible you toasted your blinker/flasher relay. It plugs into your fuse panel.

2 different things. your fuse is a small glass cylinder with metal ends, you can see a small wire inside the glass tube, look for one with a broken wire, replace it with one the same size and the same amp rating (stamped on the side of one of the shiny metal ends). The relay is about 1.5 inches diameter, maybe an inch long, metal case, really light, should have 2 tabs on the bottom at 90 degrees from each other, in the corner of your fuse box sticking out towards you. There's another blinker relay tucked up behind the dash on the end of 2 wires, probably near the parking brake pedal. When you hit the signal switch, if the lights come on and stay on, probably the relay, if they don't come on at all, start checking fuses, not sure off hand which one it will be.
