hey nice 81...as for MSD my car had it bolted on when i bought it but the guy never wired it up, is there a way of checking if it still works cause if they aren't water resistant then mine would probably be screwed

I'll have to check the book that came with mine and get back to you on that. Its out at the shop and I don't feel like walking out there in the rain tonight. I think I read that there is a is a way of testing it that only requires hooking it up to a battery.
I have the ignition install completely finished. I put it on the light and everything. I have not re-adjusted the carburetor yet. I need to bring the idle down some. The idle speed went from (choked/norm): 1200/800 to 1500/1100.

Just an update, I sandblasted and painted the rear compressor mount and put that back on, so everything is finished for now
