Default MSD starter or alternator

I already have the MSD ignition and saw that they have a starter and alternator too. i was wondering if it would be good to have those to complete my MSD ignition system. has anybody used them or known somebody that has used them? and how did they work? are they worth it?

I bought one of their starters about a year ago. I tried everything to get it to fit, shims etc. Re-installed it 3 times, changing the bolt holes by adjusting the aluminum mounting plate, etc. It never would catch right, although everything aligned boltwise just fine. It sounded awful when I hit the ignition, thought it was going bust the teeth off the flywheel, so I gave up and put the old chevy starter back on. Lost the 10 bucks for summits handling fee plus had to pay to send it back, total of 25 bucks and a half day of frustration. I cant speak about the alternator. Maybe you will have better luck, let me know how it works if you get one.

Try these guys.

I have been buying from them for about a year now. Never any problems with their starters or alternators.
Good pricing too!
