if your intake was leaking, that absolutely could have been contributed to some blow-by. another thing people don't notice when they have that type of problem, is that their valve cover gaskets seep and the oil leaks behind their exhaust manifolds and it blows out the exhaust
if you are really worried about blow-by, you can have a compression test done at each cylinder and see if the readings are all pretty equal to eachother.

THANK YOU..I HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAVE OIL ON LEFT SIDE OF ENGINE (IN FRONT )RIGHT UNDER WHERE THE VALVE COVER IS ....WOULD THIS MEAN I NEED NEW GASKETS FOR MY VALVE COVERS? I DID BUY THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET SET NOT SURE IF THERE IN THERE OR NOT..WAITING FOR MY BROTHER TO HAVE TIME TO HELP ME OUT WITH THAT...AND SOME WARM WEATHER : )

yes, your valve cover gaskets are probably needing to be replaced, or at least snugged down a bit. also, if you do end up replacing the intake gaskets, you are better off just throwing away the front and rear seals and using a good bead ofRTV instead. those end gaskets are notorious for crushing and sliding under the intake, into the valley and causing hard to fix leaks
