Default interior interchangables

Greetings fellow Camaro junkies. This will be one of many questions I'll be posting until my project is road ready.I've got a75 LT that need seats and seat rails among a host of other parts. This will bea garage Betty with a mid level pro- touring themeso I'll need modarate lateral support. But I have no means to fab seat rails myself. Most of her parts have come from the local do-it-yoursef junkyard, I'll be installing a tilt column over the next few days. What year, make and model vehics are best for my seat and seat rail swap?If it makes a difference I'm 6 ft(any ideas on console swap? Im all ears!).Oh yeah, it does'nt mater what car they come as long as its not a Ford.

i used seats out of a 3rd gen camaro but i had to use the original rails and kinda fab up some stuff to get them to bolt up....i just used like that square tubing with a bunch of holes in it and i like ahd to bolt the seat to that then that to the floor on one side and just rebold it to the floor on the other...its a bit confusing to explain sorry......but like it wasnt a huge ordeal i did it in like 30min.

Thanks man, but my issue isI don't have the meansto fab much of anything. I only have access to a small welder and thats limited at best. I have an employee with a Mercedes CLK maybe a 99, and I got to tell ya, it looks like if I catch one of those wrecked... if I drill a few holes inmy floorboard they'll fit and sit behind the wheel just right. So before I catch this rookie leaving work and help him into a pole with my pick-up(LOL) I gotta be sure thatthe seats will work and if it even matters. I will be replacing the old floorboard in my Camaroanyway so I still can get a little trial and error in on the old one.I just don't want to blow money on seatsfor no reason at the junkyard.

dont drill the floorboard.the seat holes brackets are there for a reason.they go through your framerail.that way if you get into a (ughh) accident your seat wont pop loose sending you on another kind of ride!just weld onto the seatrails a piece of steeland drillthe hole and mount it that way.you can paint it and throw a car matt over it.

Thanks man, I pulled the seats out of a early 90's honda prelude today and see exactly what ur sayin. The seats that were in thecamaro when I got it were crudely nailed right thru the floorboard. I surely don't want to steering wheel so I'll be wrking on it this week.

no prob just remember the floor is slanted so if you dont have true camaro seat rails you will have to fabricate something so you are not sitting on an angle.put a level at your center column and rest it on the door sill plate.youll see what i mean.
