I'd personally stay with the mechanical...I have never had a much of a problem with em. Buy a good one (not made in korea) and it will last for years. Unless you are running high HP that needs tons of fuel flow and pressure for injectors, then a mechanical one should be fine. I also don't like the aftermarket electrics 'casue they may not shut off after an accident and will continue to pump fuel...if you have a fire and a ruptured fuel line then you are in deep carp.
stay with the mechanical. edlebrock does offer up grade mechanical fuel pumps. so does holly. i have an eletric pump on my new camaro. the thing is terrible. its noisy, unreliable, and stupid. just stick with mechanical. im going to convert mine back one of these days.
alrighty i thought i remeberd seeing some aftermarkest so i guess ill just look into them.....just hope the one on their doest completley die befor i can get the cash for a new 1 lol........(is it just me or does an l (L) and a 1(one) look alot alike?.)
