Default floor pan or sheet metal?

hey guys i know this is off topic but i have a 73 duster that im gonna be selling so i can have more money to work on my camaro. but the thing is the front drivers side floor has about a 6x6 hole, and the passenger a 3x4 hole. im trying to decide either to spend $200 on front pans or just get sheet metal since the spot thats rusted is flat and pretty square. but where would i get body metal? i dont think my napa has that would some body shops sell sheet metal like that? the rest of the body is great no interior or engine and tranny but my question is i have $150 in it, once i get the floors and some body work done i was gonna ask $500 for it is that a good price?

Yeah, if you're selling it, you really don't need to spend money on replacement floor pans. You're talking a small enough area, where you can make it look good with a decent weld and grind job.
Menards (if you have one by you) carries sheet metal which is a good gauge thickness to use as a floor patch.

^^ yup^^ Lowes has sheet metal too. Its pricey compared to steel supply costs but still way cheaper than a hole pan. Another thought is using part of another body. Anything. 6x6 isn't that big and pretty easy to find flat pieces. Even an old refigerator door. ( I seen it and I know it sounds silly) We used to prep all the welds for paint at one shop I worked at. We could take scrap home and some guys were using it for this.

I just go to the local sheetmetal shop and get pieces from their scrap bin. It's cheap and works OK. Just tell them you want some 14-16 ga. and it will do the job fine. Every sheetmetal shop has scrap bins.
