electrical problem

81 camaro- when i step on the gas the lights get brighter and then dim when i let off. any suggestions? bad ground? if so where can i locate it? voltage regulater? thanks for the help in advance.

Bad ground or your alternator is fixin to bite the bullet. You have a built in voltage regulator. First ... clean your cable ends and battery post with a wire brush. put a small amount of grease on them and reconnect them. Make sure the ground is snugly attached to the engine. Make sure the small ground wire is snug against the fender. Alot of times the small ground wire gets wore out and broke. That can cause problems like you described. A loose or wore out alternator belt can do the same thing. If you can get to it ... make sure your positive cable is tight on the starter. good luck. sick

Hey, I love the tunnel ram, Just wondering, does that really help with drag racing, it is ment for 4500-7500 rpms right?? I was looking to get one for my engine but decided against it. Nice though
