12487 = Camaro Sport Coupe (all 71's had that number and not related to the similar numbers on the VIN)
NOR = built in Norwood Ohio
?87302 = the body sequence number (not related to the VIN)
TR 777 = interior trim color/style: sandlewood, standard
67 67 PNT = exterior paint color: classic copper, upper & lower (no vinyl top)
06 B = build date: June, second week

 

Thank you so much! I will be putting the straight bumper back on soon.....glad I like that look more as my 71' is not a split bumper car (turn signals not small round ones next to headlights) again I prefer the standard look for some reason. I ordered the LED tail lights and hope to get them working properly. Just installed the Optima today and will continue to work out the electrical gremlins. Again thanks for the helpful info...
