This may be a stupid question but here we go. I have a 69 camaro and a 89 iroc with disc brakes an a 350 tpi, can i take the motor brakes and rear end and put them on my 69 camaro. how hard would it be? thanks

 

i doubt it, i tried taking the rear end out of a second gen camaro and putting tht in my 69 but it didnt line up right, it was off by a few inches, im about 99% certain the same would be said for a 3rd gen

 

Yeah buddy the rear out of a third and second gen camaro are both wider than one out of a 67-69. I know for a fact a 67-69 rear is 54 1/2" from backing plate to backing plate, and a second gen is wider i think like 56" but not sure, and a 3rd is wider yet, and I dont think any of the spring perches line up either.

 

Aleast the engine will fit.

 

Yeah, but it's probably a 305.

 

thanks for the info its a 350 witha 700r4 4 wheel disc. Thats way I bought it. I had hope of updating the 69 with the 89 parts.
