sorry for asking this stupid question, but I can not find information about camshaft in Camaro 76 250ci. Can you help?
Should I ekspect timing belt or timing chain?

Use google I found this real quick. There are also a lot of forums that support these engines. Bottom line you have what I call an emmision engine.I am not sure what you engine is rated HP wise most likely around 110HPbut the 60s version of the 250where pushing 200 HP. To get your motor toeven the 200HP range would cost more then buying a newGM crate 350 with240 HP.

One of the favorite upgrades was to replace the Chevy 250 six with a GMC truck 302 six. About the same size externally making for a simple swap. The extra 50" made a big difference.

292 where also a nice upgrade. Good luck finding one. I think most of those ended up in race cars. I have a 68 250 in my shorty pickup. Dang thing holds it own. My wife could not keep up with me on the way home in a late model V6 mini van. Course that means nothing I drove it about 3 miles before I started tearing it apart.
