Bondo last option?
Hey guys I have never used bondo before and I was wondering if I should just buy a new quarter panel and door? Or can i try bondoing first? My car is a two tone RS It looks really nice except the passenger door was replaced with a different color. So I am going to primer the whole car next week and was wondering, should I take the time to sand her down, bondo the rust and then primer? I am a full-time college student, this is my 3rd car I have ever owned so I will probably be asking a lot of questions and needing advice, well thanks for your time.
If you don't plan on keeping the car for more than a year or two, then go for it. But to repair rust the right way, and to make the time and money spent on a paint job worthwhile, you need to cut out the bad and replace it with new because...Rust NEVER Sleeps!
Yea, I can get a door rust free for 50 dollars, and I was thinking of getting the z28 fenders for the lil air groove thing? total would cost me 500ish? I dont want to paint her... I am in college my car always manages to get dent. Primer black for a few years I say. And I plan to replace the rusted pieces but I want to get her all black this week.
