Default Blower Motor Wiring Help

I need to rewire my blower motor to a new switch to get my heat working for the winter. Has anyone done this before?

Yes, it pretty simple. The blower is already grounded, so you just need to look at your fuse block and find the fuse that's marked "heater". Get a female connetor and plug it into the male plug on one end of the block, then run it to a toggle switch, and from there to the blower motor. If your fuse block doesn't have a place to plug into, then you'll need to find another keyed hot and do an inline fuse holder between the source and the switch. Make sure to use a 20a. fuse in this circuit.
Have you tried a test wire from the battery to the blower terminal to make sure the blower motor is good and runs?

Thank you for the reply! Last night I replaced the blower motor with a new one. When I first got the car, the previous owners installed a aftermarket CD player. I removed the CD player cause it didn't work, and after it was removed the heater stopped working. I don't know if the wires that were connected to the CD player were also connected to the blower motor.

Sounds like you need to check those wires first! They probably tapped into the circuit to the fan to power the CD, so maybe all you need is to splice the broken wires ack together. Do you have a test lamp? If you do you can check the wires to see which is the blower power. Just turn the key on, connect the test lamp from ground to a wire, then turn the heater switch on. If it lights then you've found the blower wire. Keep trying the suspect wires until you find the one that tests good.
Once you find the switched wire, you can touch that wire to the one going to the blower until it comes on, then shut the key off and splice the wire.

Keep in mind you'll have only one fan speed that way...full. But full speed is better than no speed at all.

You mean if he wires in a bypass on/offf switch. Not if he gets the old one working.
