Any one know what it means???
In the early project days of the car, it was named "Panther". When the car became a reality, the name was changed to Camaro, which is a French word meaning "Companion".
Another bit of trivia, that was also back in the day when Chevy liked to name their cars starting with the letter "C"....Camaro, Corvette, Chevelle, Chevy II, Caprice, Corvair.
