Are all U bolts equal length?
#2
Hi welcome to the forums! to answer your question, yes, it is possible. No company would take the time to measure a U bolt down to a tenth of a milimeter, so therefore each one will have flaws in length. Obviously this isn't the answer you wanted or thought you deserved but since you thought you needed one right away here you are. Obviously you could take the u bolt out and look at it to see if its equal or not, from your other post I'd say the size isn't right so a longer one might work better, as for will it work fine the way you have it, who knows, really its an accident waiting to happen.

Excess length is not common, but it's also no real concern. If it's working leave it alone.
Edit-If this is in reference to your other post about U-bolts on the U-joints, then you should replace them! They are not the same as U-bolts on the rear axle. Might want to specify which you are referring to next time, or only post once for the same question.

I just saw you had two posts asking the same thing. Just in case you don't see the other post, I'll just do a copy paste here :-)
If you're worried about your u-bolts, why not just purchase a new pair? As far as one side being longer than the other, it almost sounds as if you tightened one end before tightening the other end. When you put your u-bolts in, make sure they are even from the get go, and tighten them down evenly by going a couple of turns on this side, and then a couple turns on the other side.
I'm curious as to what happened to your drive shaft. Did you just wear out a set of U-Joints or did you rip the yoke off your drive shaft?
