Has anyone attempted to retrofit an airbag into a 2nd gen Camaro? My daughter has a 79 and I'm looking to make it as safe as possible.

it would be hard and, frankly, a waste of time. the cars are tanks, and the harnesses/interior were not designed for airbags. also, airbags require very sensitive sensors, and if it is not installed properly, one could inflate simply from braking too hard
