AC Low Side pressure problem
1976 Camaro 250ci 4.1L 3-Speed manual. This Camaro has the VIR Eliminator. After system is vacuumed down, it will not take a full can. Can and system balancing? The compressor kicks on at 60 quickly jumps to 100 then the switch (as it should) shuts it off. It quickly cycles back and forth like this and never takes more refrigerant. The High Side stays around 60. VIR Eliminator is new as is the compressor. System was flushed before install. If you vacuum it from the High Side (Low Side closed) it vacuums it but slower, maybe? I don't have a strong compressor. 150 psi but only 3gal. Flush still in the line? Kit does not use an actual Orfice Tube but a "block". I've attached the instruction pdf. Any ideas?
I have Toyota RAV4 Limited 2011 where the AC blows hot. When I measured the system I got 87 psi on both sides when the outside temperature was 71F and humidity 30%. Strange thing happened when I started the car and switched on the AC. I could see the compressor engaged but the low side went down close to 0 psi while the high side went just a little bit up to 100 psi. Would you please have any idea where the problem might be? I have to admit that I have messed up with the AC without any knowledge. I charged the system like two years ago.
