Yeah, I figured it couldn't ONLY have originated in the Trans Am.
I have a Ratchet shifter in my Camaro at the moment, I personally consider it to be a hybrid of both the automatic and manual. That could be my ignorance though, or my innate desire to figure my car as a hot rod even in it's early ages. (of my owning it of course)
