73 Camaro Stalls - please help

I agree the cam may want a 1000 rpm idle. Not unusual to see cars at the strip that won't idle for crap so the crank the speed up to keep them running. Who care's there just going to drive in the pits is the thinking. Have you adjusted the idle mixture at all? I adjust for the highest vacuum. Also with a vacuum gauge you can tell roughly how big the came is. A good street motor should be up around 15in of vacuum or so. The lower the vacuum the bigger the cam basically.

I can't get over 12" of vacuum with the new cam I stuck in my 327. Brakes work, but I hope the booster reservoir will make them work as well as they did with my old cam!
