Default 73, 3 Point rear seat belt conversion?

Hi Guys just bought myself a restored 73 Z28/RS/LT (mid life crisis!) and shipped it to Australia.
I have two little kids (3 and 5) and obviously want then to ride in the car. To attach their kid seats, I need to have 3 point belts in the back. The car currently has lap belts in the back.

Does any one know of a conversion or advice on how to install 3 point seat belts in the rear seats and where to purchase them from?

Appreciate any assistance

Welcome to the forum!
If I were converting my Camaro to rear harnesses I'd probably head to the wrecking yard and look through all the newer cars to see what might adapt. I'm pretty sure you could find something that would work, and possibly not have to modify your seats to install it. You'll most likely want to remove the rear seats first to see what you have to work with prior to selecting a donor belt setup.
I'm also pretty sure you'll need to install some reinforcing metal behind the bolted area to ensure it is strong enough. I'd want at least a 3"-4" sq. plate behind to keep evrything solid, and a grade 8 bolt sized to the mounting hole.

There are mounting points for shoulder belts recessed into the front corners of the package tray on later 2nd gens. Not sure about the early ones and my car is not here so I can't check. I guess it was a pretty rare option so it's even more difficult to find them today. I've never seen any. Some guys on another forum have adapted Fox body Mustang rear shoulder belts to work with some success. Like 1971BB427 stated be sure to reinforce with a good size steel plate and grade 8 bolts. I also found a link to an aftermarket company that might have what your looking for. Here's a link.

I'm planning on the Mustang setup when the time comes.

Thanks for advice. I will remove the rear seats and look at the structure.

My wifes 98 grand prix has a 3 point in the back. It may be easy to adapt one of those.
