Hey guys i just bought a 1972 the plate on the fire wall i can not read so i used the vin the car a factory 4 speed the the 307 and it has a N for the Norwood Ohio plant Now the Question i keep reading about the strike the had in april &, 1972 and no camaros left the plant .What i would like to know is how many left before the strike any info would be nice .

 

they only made 68,651 Camaros in 1972 because of the strike. after the strike they scrapped over 1,000 partial cars because it was too expensive to bring them upto 1973's bumper and emission standards

 

It's nice to see someone else fixing up a 72. You don't see very many. I've only seen one at show events. 69SS is right about the numbers, though some of the 1000 ended up at vo-techs and other educational faciliities.
