Magnaflow has a transverse system for our cars that puts the muffler in the stock location.

That's another reason for keeping them closer to the rear axle. The closer they are to the rear tires, the less chance they'll hit anything. As the tire rolls up over an obstruction, the body is lifted and help clear.
Magnaflow makes universal mufflers also, so you don't have to use the transverse muffler, unless you want to keep it looking stock, or need more clearance.

I would use the transverse if it was available in 3", Pypes has one. I was going to run a Pypes kit until Power Tour came last summer. Then I saw a Nova with a HUGH Pypes windshield sticker. That thing sounded horrible. Almost like glasspacks and straight pipe.

Ok so now I came across this tonight and its fugly. Check it out. I guess I can only give the link out, the pics can only be saved by friends of the tart.Webshots Rides offers thousands of the best car wallpapers.

yikes...

i don't feel so bad about mine now...

on a side note... he brought the car in today to get some 265's put on the back wheels, he's happy with the exhaust apparently...

and it sounds pretty good. a little "poppy"

putting the muffler further back aleaviates this, correct? better quality sound?

An x-pipe will. 2.25" will cause it for sure. Putting the mufflers farther back might help.

The yellow and black is just too much. All yellow would look better to me.
