Post 350 engine mods

Hey guys, i have a stock 350 and was wondering what mods should be done to it to gain HP while still being able to be a daily driver ? Im a 16 year old working part time so money might be an issue, depending on how much everything is going to cost. If someone could help me out for some bolt on mods to do to make me gain HP and Tq , i would grately appreciate it.

Does it run presently? Is it a 2 brl. or 4 brl., and if it's a 4 brl. which one is it? Dual or single exhaust?
Simplest thing to do is get a decent intake and carb without over carbureting it. Then headers, dual exhausts, and a good tuneup after that.
Make sure you run a compression check before doing anything to ensure you're starting with a solid engine.

^ what he said. A 600cfm is plenty for a mild 350. Then longtube headers, a mild cam like a comp cams thumpr series, big ***** thumpr is my favorite but requires a stall and rear gears i believe. Oh yeah stall converter and rear gears sounds would be good. No real power gains but will make it a lot quicker off the line, you will definitely feel a difference. BTW slapsticks are fun!

I wouldn't use any of the Thumpr series cams with stock heads. They're great cams and sound good too, but too much cam to use with low compression heads like the late 2nd gens have in stock 350 trim.
Better off with a milder RV style cam for good streetability and lowend torque for a stock style motor and heads.

One of the easiest ways to boost hp, is to increase airflow. K&N filter, dual exhaust and headers will let your car breathe and give you some decent hp.
