just curious if there are any guys out there running big blocks in a 2nd gen camaro hitting 11-12sec passes ??
i have a 81 camaro t-tops, 468 BBC, th350 2500-3000rpm stall, shift kit, 3:08 posi (stock 10 bolt) can give more info on suspension, rear end, and motor as well if someone needs it if that will help....
i havent ran it at the track yet, BUT buddy that had it before me says he had it at the track and ran a 13.6@106mph but he cant member exactly the mph tho cant find the slip either, and apprently he says the car spun pretty well the entire 1/4 mile with 275/60/15 BFG Radial T/A's (we all they are ****ty tires LOL)
anyone help me out ? i wanna feel the 11-12sec passes
thanks Rob

My 1971 with 427ci, 450hp hasn't been to the track for years, but back when I raced it locally it ran low 12's with slicks, open headers, and rejetted. It waspretty stock enginewise, except for an Edelbrock Torker, Holley 780 double pumper, a set of Doug's headers, and some head work. Haven't raced it in 20 years, and when I rebuilt it I dropped the solid lifter cam, and went hydraulic, and changed the stock 11:1 pistons for a set of TRW forged 10:1 pistons, so it would run better on pump gas today. No idea what it would run now. I'm still running the PowerTrax locker, but dropped the 3.73 gears and went with 3.31 gears now to be easier at the pump.
