I noticed soon after i purchased my 95 if i was sitting at idle the temp gauge would go up about 3/4 on the gauge before the e-fan would kick on. The e-fan would bring the temp about 1/2 on the gauge and then shut off. I have no problems while driving as it only gets to about 1/4 up on the gauge which i would assume is about normal. It will stay the same if i am driving (outside temp 80-100) Do you guys have the same fluctuation when stopped with a 195 stat?

 

yup thats what mine does and never over heats so id say its fine

 

Sounds ok then. I'm not sure why the motor would get near the 240 range before the fan would kick on though. Is it a one speed e-fan?

 

i couldnt tell you on that one, all i can say is if it aint broke then dont worry about it. just keep an eye on it and if you feel that uncomfortable with it get a lower thermostat or put ur fan on a switch. like i said ive had no problems with it this far..maybe someone else has some better input on this than me tho

 

thats where it should run, i just changed every possible thing on my coolant system and it does the same thing...my 88 did the same thing too

 

Nice. I was thinking something may be wrong. Still wondering about the fan speeds though. I'll see what i can find.
