Default 1981 Gauges

Do anyone have any good ideas on where to mount a tach in my 1981 S/C? (It's a factory 3 speed)
I am replacing the dummy lights with eqqus gauges in the dash and I have a 5" Eqqus tach w/shift light built in that I would like to use. I planned to remove the vent assy over the cig. lighter and install it there really clean and neat. I'm restoring but updatingt at the same time. Any ideas or suggestions?

They make A-pillar mounts, but a tach is usualy too big. I'm going to the factory gauges, but if I had to, I'd get an aftermarket Gas Gauge and mount a tach in the big hole.

Geez, I must be old school. Or just old. I thought that was what steering columns were for.

Yeah! And big old hose clamps too! I've had a ton of them mounted there with a hose clamp!
