Default 1981 Camaro Father/Son Project

Alright Everyone this is going to be my build/progress thread. Ill also tell you a little info that i do know about the car, Its got originally 70k miles on it and we got it without a motor or tranny. The car originally came with the smallest V6 which was the 229 ci, I believe. The car looked in decent shape when we got it, but we also knew we would have to put some work into it. The car also had the whole drivers quarter panel replaced at some time in its life. The car came from PA, so it had a decent amount of rust as well. The car is also a Non A/C car, which is good.

Here is also a link to my Intro thread in case some of you havent seen it and it tells you a little about me.

Anyways on with the pics. Comments and Criticism welcome.

I wanna make a driver out of it, so its not going to be a 100 point show car or anything. I would like it to be a custom style, Im going to leave it look like it did before instead of getting the Z flares to put on it. I already got another hood with the "SS" ram air hood scoop that looks like the one on my 96 Cav. I think those hoods also came on some the Z's. I got a plan to buy my Uncles 400 SBC that he didnt use in his '76 Camaro, then ill go with a Turbo 400 trans. I also picked a Brand new tail panel from Goodmark that ill weld in, as well as a brand new trunk lid from Goodmark. I had to get a new trunklid cuz the original one was rusted out by the hinges.

All in all i dont think it was a bad deal for what we paid for it when we got the car. My dad paid $400 for the car, and he couldnt sell the car for $450 with all the extra parts he had for it including a set of chrome rims, Zspoiler, New tail panel, New trunk lid, Good inner fenders, Good fenders. So since my dad couldnt sell it for $450 he decided that he has too much going on with working on his 97 s10 w/350 sbc, he sold me the Camaro with all the extra parts for $1. He said he would rather sell it to me for $1 than to a scrap yard for $100.
