Default 1980 to 1970 rear end change

I just bought my first Camaro and this will be my first time working on a car. I wanted to know what I would need to change the tail light setup from my 1980 to that of a 1970-73. I noticed that the lights on the 1980 wrap around to the quarter panel but the lights on the 70-73 don't. could I make the change fairly easily?

not without cutting the entire back of the car off and hacking it up to make a 1970 era rear end fit.

You're looking at new rear panel, new 1/4 panels, and bumpers. Plus all the aother misc parts from a 70 to complete it. Lots of welding and fabrication.
