1972 Camaro RS Z28
I am looking at a 1972 RS Z28 Camaro. It is Sequoia Green with factory black stripes. It has tan interior. The paint matches. It has a 12 bolt rear end. It does not have a motor or transmission. It has all the glass and the only real body work that is going to need done is maybe a new rear quarter panel. The rest of the car is very solid. it also comes with the factory rims that appear to be good shape. Is this a desirable color combination? What do you think is a good price for something like this?
Thanks

RE: 1972 Camaro RS Z28
There is a lot of info needed to accurately judge the value of the car. If the interior is all there, if the car is a true RS (parking lights to the side of headlights, not below) & Z28 and it is indeed as solid as you state, a good price would be around $2500. Average asking price for these cars is about $5000. Check the metal under the rear seat near where the seat belt bolts down, also the rear frame rails near that area and the ends of the rails & rocker panels. These are popular spots for rust. Things that may make the car more desirable would be if the car was an original big block, 4 speed, A/C and deluxe interior (woodgrain). Decode the trim tag to be sure of the options. An actual GOOD price is also what is acceptable to your spouse! Oh wait,,,it's easier to get forgiveness than permission!!!
