What is thebiggest tires for 67 Camaro?
Disc brakes in the front with drum and mono leaf in the rear.
I have 4 aftermarket wheels that are 16x8 with 4.75 backspacing. I do not believe I am going to be able to use these in the front from what I have read unless someone tells me something different. I do have 2 15x7 OEM rally wheels for the front if need be.
So what is the biggest size or at least a for sure safe bet for tire size?
It would be real nice if I could use the 16x8's on all fours so I can rotate all the tires.
Again, I have read that the biggest on the rear would be 245/50/16. If this is the case I see no reason why a 235/60/16 would not work. Have read that you need to relocate shocks which is something I am not going to do.
If someone can shine some light that would be great so I can order them asap and no I have no way to try different tires to see what would work. Just need to know what will work for sure and have had no luck finding a definite answer as there are so many different answers out there.
I am more concerned with height than width and want the car to stand tall as possible and I do not want to deal with rubbing of any kind whatsoever.
Thanks guys!

4.75" is going to be the wrong offset in front. That's pretty much as big as you want to go on those wheels. Just because a bigger tire will "fit" on an 8" wheel, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do
You probably could fit a 255 in the rear though, but every old car is different so you would really want to testfit before you bought the money

I have a 68 Camaro with front disc brakes and rear drums brakes with mono leaf springs and I have:
18x8" front rims 4.5" backspace with 225/45/18 tires
18x9.5" rears 5" backspace with 275/40/18 tires.
Looks mean and only rubs a hair on the back with 4 people in the car
I had some special custom rotor spacers made from billet aluminum and used a different rotor so rims would tuck under and not rub.
That rim combo on the front usually sticks out a little.
