I'm a car guy who was given my grandmas 1961 Ford Thunderbird. Yes, I know, why I heck am I on a camaro site? So my grandparents bought this car in the early 60's and my grandpa replaced the passenger mirror with a chevy one. I'm trying to id that mirror. I did some prelim searching and it looks like a camaro has this mirror. I'm wanting to restore the car, but I want a clean, new mirror to replace the original. It's not a high $$ car or anything, just want to continue with the legacy.
So can you help me idenifty this mirror?
That looks like a late 50's - early 60's style mirror, so don't think it goes to a Camaro. The bowtie symbol has a rough pitted fill vs a smooth, so that might by your key to finding the year or model of car or even truck.
That's close, but the bullet nose comes to a point on that link and the stem points forward, not back. The other has a blunt nose and the stem starts at the front of the mount and points back. I think its to a 1954 BelAir
This is tough... good luck if you want to sell. I think it would clean up nice.
