I just finished up making this for someone and thought some of you may like to see it, this is an OEM Camaor mirror (with OnStar etc) with the concealed display and controls for a Valentine V1 radar detector (not the detector itself) mounted behind etched glass. It retains all standard functionality, the mute/mode switch and jack plug to connect to the V1 are mounted on the back of the mirror.

 

thats cool. how much something like that cost?

 

That particular mirror was $450 all in, would have been discounted if the original mirror was traded as a part of the deal.
