Thoughts on Rock Valley vs. Rick's Hot Rod EFI Tank?
I've seen various threads with some comments about these tanks, and I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of them. Thought I'd solicit some feedback before dropping over a grand on the tank+pump.
I'm looking to get 60+ PSI and around 60 GPH in order to support around 600 HP from my 383 (envisioning a turbo setup in the near future).
I'm looking at the Rock Valley stainless tank with an upgraded Aeromotive pump ($1200), or the Rick's Hot Rod Shop stainless tank with upgraded Aeromotive pump ($1345). I think they are both using the same Aeromotive pump and it's rated at 70 GPH at 60 PSI.
Both tanks say they have baffling to elliminate fuel slosh, and have 6an (or 3/8 NPT) feed and return fittings. I think the Rick's tank has a built-in 1/4 in NPT fitting for a vent line.
I'm thinking I want to run a vent line through a baffle and carbon filter to elliminate the fuel odor I currently experience with my home-built EFI converted tank and vented gas cap.
Thoughts?
