Default Header recommendations

I recently got a 454 that I want to put into my 69 Camaro. I need to get some headers but I understand that they could be a tight fit if I get the wrong ones. I could just find some exhaust manifolds but I would prefer the headers. Any suggestions.

Have you Checked with your local "speed shop".Uou can also check with National Brands,Hooker,Hedman,Doug Thorley,Flow Tech etc.A good fitting and quality headers aren`t going to be Cheap. But you know your budget better than I do.If its just a hobby.Just save you money and get the ones you want.Good luck on your build,

If coming from SBC configuration, you should get BBC frame punts as these will set the BBC towards pass side giving more room for headers.
Also, BBC trans crossmember as this addition will keep the engine & rear axle centerlines parallel. If not an imbalance may occur.
Last item would be heater core and blower cover as with A SBC/L6 heater core in place, attaching hoses will not happen, pass cylinder head is against core nipples.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. I guess I'll pay some shops a visit this week, see what I can get without breaking the bank. You gave me a lot to think about Everett.
