Default Camaro Recommendations?

Hi everyone,

I'm getting my license soon (December 13th hopefully) and my parents are going to buy me a car and I've been very interested in fast sports cars like Camaros. I'm not too familiar with them but I just like the whole look of Chevys in general, but there are so many models and such so I don't even know where to start looking. I'd like for my car to have about 300HP (I'm not going to be a wreckless driver, I just want to have a nice ride) and I also want something that just looks fast.

The more recent Z28 and IROC models look nice, but if anybody has any good suggestions for Camaros that attract attention let me know! Also what would be some good starting mods to get? I'm probably going to buy new rims, but are there any other popular body modifications?

Welcome to the Forum. You should drive something a bit slower for awhile until You get more driving experience. A Z28 or SS is an awful lot of car for a novice driver.

Welcome to the forums and thx for registering with us.

Being a new driver and looking for a Z or an SS is a big step ..... but to each their own .... if your dream does become reality ... just be careful bro ... lot of car under that hood.

My first car was an 86 z28 wih a 400 small block that i got when I was 16. That car defianately turned alot of heads. Third gen's (1982-1992) are extremely nice i think the 4th gens (like mine) get more attention from chicks because A.) it's newer and looks sportier and B.) Girls don't care if it's a v6 or v8. Either of them are a good choice and will get attention because well it's a Camaro! I think you should go for a 93-2002 v6, they are pretty quick for a six cylinder, Add a cold air intake and new muffler and you will really be suprised how nice it sounds. Plus the newer cars have dual airbags, Antilock brakes, and all those other safety features that no one really cares about until it saves their life. Lol.. Anyways, You've got your whole life to upgrade to a z28... By the way if you decide to get a fourth gen camaro id get these rims on it C5 corvette rims (top pic) Just do us all a favor and stick with the camaro's and stay away from mustangs bro

Thanks for all the replies!

It looks like I'll be getting a 35th Anniversary V6 Camaro (no need for all that power...yet). I'll get a few mods and then probably those corvetter rims because they look so nice. My brother has a 2006 V6 Mustang so I can't get the same car as him obviously, plus it'll be nice to have a much faster car than his
