Harmonic balancer bolt (Yes or No)

Harmonic balancer bolt (Yes or No)
Weird question, I have an early 1969 SS Camaro. Production 11/1968. Block has roughly same dates with casting #3932386. Should this motor have a bolt and washer for the harmonic balancer? Haven't got under there yet to check for threads but no bolt, just pulley bolted to front of balancer. Just read a little info on some early 350's that didn't have a bolt but I've never heard such a thing and can find nothing else to back it up.

Late last night saw bolt was missing. After further investigation today bolt & washer not installed. End of crank threaded and empty. Bought car last fall and been driving it lately also doing upgrades. Installing properly dated heads, 041 castings and noticed this issue. Just another fix, one of many I've found. At least nothing damaged. Thanks for answer

Head Swap
Currently installing set 041 casting heads on my 69 SS. Off by couple months to be date correct but still right castings. Had older set camel hump heads that needed replaceing. At same time this allowed me to install correct alternater brackets. Also going from manual to power steering. Still working on getting right rag joint and pitman arm to complete job. All pulleys and pump hanging on front of motor, looking good for belt alignment. Just rebuilt dash repairing stock AM radio & upgrading clock internals. Damn clock stopped after 2 weeks so dash back apart for clock repair. All in the life of owning my dream car.

Finished switching heads. Had a pair of virgin 041 casting bare heads that had been sitting around in my brothers garage since 1985. After having heads freshened up, we installed new valves, springs, retainers, keepers & seals. As close to date correct as I could get. Car assembly 11/68 and heads are 2/69. Along with new power steering setup its like a different car.
