Carburetor to Fuel Injection

Carburetor to Fuel Injection
Does anyone know a cheap, reliable EFI system to convert a carburetor to fuel injection, currently running a 327 small block with a holley double pumper, and I wish to add reliability and possibly fuel efficiency. As of right now, I am looking at the Holley Sniper, does anyone have experience with the system or know of any other options? Thanks.

First off somethings to consider. Generally speaking you want your fuel stream as close to the combustion chamber as possible for performance, economy, and emissions purposes. IE in a port injection engine literally has the injectors spraying down on the back of the intake valve. That's the best case situation keeping your current engine configuration.
Now if you want to keep a stealth look and maximum gains aren't a priority then the Sniper is a good choice. Would it perform as well as a true SFI setup? No, it wouldn't but I would say for certain it would be leaps and bounds better than a carb unless you stay right on top of the carb tuning all the time. Additionally the Sniper setups are pretty simple from a wiring standpoint. You'll obviously need to install an O2 bung in one if not both of your exhaust tubes and even though I'm sure it's not required I would strongly recommend changing out the dizzy for something that works with the computer. Timing is a critical part of any engine running properly. If your gonna do it, go in all the way.

I went with Sniper and a tanks inc. fuel tank/pump on my 68 (350/T-56 Mag). I would highly recommend it. I was having all sorts of starting issues with my old carb due to heat issues. There are supposed to be some issues with dual plane manifolds but my Air Gap intake works fine for me. I can't see any difference with fuel efficiency but that's probably just the way I drive it. Let me know if you have any specific questions on the install or anything.
