383 Stroker Build Need guidance please

Congratulations on your recent purchase! Do you know what Dart heads it has on it?

You said that he guy you bought it from didn't know much about the engine, are you sure it's really a 383? Maybe somebody else can help, but I don't think there is a way to verify a 383 unless you pull the pan off and look for the grind marks for the rod clearance. With the right heads, a decent cam and the right tune, you should be in the 500 club relatively easy.

It has a 400 balancer but I'm unsure of which heads are on it. It's has a light lope so a very mild cam. I am switching the Holley 670 street avenger to a Quick Fuel 750 which will give me a bit more. I may pull the valve covers to see what's lurking under there.
