Default 68 Camaro engine identification

The Heads are #3932441 350, 76cc, 161-165cc intake port

The casting is #3932386, which can be the 327 or 350

Suffix code is V0808HV, Which is
HV 1965 327 h/p, hyd lif, t/ig, m/t 350 4Vette

But I also found this on the internet, for the suffix code HV

HV 1969 350 255 4 turbohydro 350

So what do I have?

That's right, it could be either or. Find the casting date on the bellhousing flange, either on the passenger side or towards the middle.
The last digit (5 or 9) will tell you the year, which will then tell you which one you have.

Thanks for that information.

I took a look, and I found H 1 8, which should be August 1, 1968

And I also found the Saginaw clock, which was pointing to the 9th hour of the first shift.

All that, and I'm still unsure exactly what I have.

You have a 1969 350. August 1968 casting would be for an early production 1969 model car.

OK, so I find this casting number, 350, on Chevellestuff.com. This one states its a 300hp. So is there any way I really find out what I have?

3932386 1969 350 300 Used from August 1968 until approximately January of 1969 when replaced with 3956618. Used only as 4-bolt block.

The casting number does not tell the h.p. build of the engine, as more than one variant was built off the same block castings. The suffix code (HV) is what tells how the engine was built, which determines the h.p rating. No skating around it, the engine is what the (1969) suffix code says it is.
