Default Automatic to Manual Swap - Help!

Hi,

I have a '69 Camaro & I'm wanting to swap out my 350 TH Auto tranny for a Muncie 4 speed. I have already installed the clutch linkage & Z bar & getting ready to replace the Auto brake pedal with the brake & clutch pedals. It looks like a very tight place to work, does the steering column have to be taken out to do this? Any other pointers that anyone may have, would appreciate any advice or comments, thanks!

Not a requirement, but it does help.
Good luck.
Don't forget reverse lights.
You will have to hook up linkage to lock column for key removal,
or, tie up outer column.

My first 69, back in the 70's, I converted to manual. I didn't remove the steering column, but did need to disconnect the rag joint to be able to drop the column low enough out of the way.
