4 speeed stuck in first

4 speeed stuck in first
I just got my first 67 yesterday, took it for a brief drive, it has a 4 speed manual and it is stuck in first, the shifter will not move. This just happened, before this is was working fine. Any ideas?

Shifter has come out of its gate.
Disconnect shift rods at shifter, shift trans to neutral, insert 3/16 inch drill bit into shifter body as this aligns shifter body and its gate, adjust rods to slip fit.

Thanks for your response, I was finally able to get to it today after work and that did the trick. It noiw shift just fine and I didn;t have to take it to a transmition shop. I really appreciate your help.
