You may need to raise the whole trans tunnel. The magnum is bigger then the old school T56. You will not know how much until you set the drive line angles.

I do not see the LS2 6.0 as still available on Chevy's Site. When I look at LS crate motors it starts at the LS3. In fact LS3 is all I see. I guess GM assumes if you where thinking LS7 then you should just step up to the LT motors. If you can find it the first thing you want to look at is the trans. Depending on the model transmission you may need major floor work. Also post a link.

I am always budget minded, while I was looking at Pace Performance (a GM dealer) I saw a GM GEN 1 350 with throttle body efi and a TKX 5 Speed manual Connect and cruise. It was only 355 HP but it came with a 2 year 50K miles GM warranty parts and Labor. It was under $13,000. Also the TKX 5 speed does not require floor cutting at all in my 4 speed car. It is a top loading transmission so you may be able to just use a 2-3 inch hole saw on a auto car. I don't mind a LS or LT swap but I like the old school look. The motor comes with all the shinny parts but it seem like you could make it look stock without too much trouble. I am normally a build it myself guy but that is a lot of ordering parts and getting the wrong parts, reordering and if I was going to travel that warranty would give me a little more confidence If I had a problem I can just get the car towed to the nearest GM dealer.
