Replaced all the bushings and ball joints on upper and lower control arms, Base 68 convertible. I needed to press the ball joints out. When replacing them, one needed to be pressed in, and the other was snug but loose enough that I could press it in by hand.
When I test-drove the car, it was all over the road, very difficult to drive in a straight line.
Could this be the issue? I have never replaced one before, so I assumed it was kept in place by the spring tension from the coil spring.
