Had some suspension work done on my "68 Frankenstein. I think they installed big block springs on the front.
Now the car sits higher in the front.. Not a big difference when you look at it, but for me sitting in it is not too
good considering my 5 foot nothing body. I have to put spacers under my seat to see over the hood.
Anyway, someone suggested removing a coil from the springs. Another suggested drop spindles, which sounds
like a bigger job than I would want to tackle.
I have the same issue on my ‘68. While drop
spindles will help, a lot easier to replace the springs with the proper springs for a small block. Cutting springs will work, but I wouldn’t recommend unless you are on a tight budget.
