I meant to work on this all day today, but my neighbor needed some help changing out his pads and rotors on his Honda and it took all friggin day...Anyway, here is what I did tonight... Removed the Drivers side subframe connector, a little easier than the other one but still a pain in the butt...

Here is a pic of both sides where the backseat pax feet would be.... Man it is good to have those subframe connectors outta there...I destroyed part of the pax side rear frame rail removing part of that other connector, but nothing melting metal with fire can't fix!!!!

Big night tonight... I got the remnants of the subframe connectors and got that subframe off....It was close, I had removed bothaft bolts and got the fwd pax side loose then the fwd Drivers side bolt was seized so bad that it took a 4 foot cheater bar to break it... two clicks at a time on my 1/2" Drive ratchet with that cheater bar that thing came off... It was so seized that the caged nut almost twisted off the cage holding it to the car... that would have sucked, but it didn't and now it is all good... You can kinda see the inner fwd corner is peeled up a bit... It's kinda hard to see but it happened...

Here is where the previous owner (or one of them for that matter) massaged the firewall for fit in a larger distributor for it's racing life... I am debating on whether or not to leave it as it is or cutting it out and smoothing it over... I kinda like the idea of having a bit of it's history still intact... but then again I don't want to look likeI hacked my ride, so in this very mintue I have decided to smooth it over...

Here is a crack that I found in the Firewall near the pax side fwd subframe mount, below the heater opening...

So I am a bit concerned... WhenI went to lower the car on the jack stands, one side contacted and one did not, there was less than a half inch gap between the body and the jack...

I am hoping that the people who poured and leveled the concrete in my garage did a poor job, but I am pretty sure that the car is tweaked... There is no damage that I can see and I have seen every part of this car and I would be able to tell if it had been repaired or what not, because I have seen inside every panel...

So, not sure what to think...Anyone have any input?

Had the same problem with mine once I had it down to just the unibody. Mine was less than 1/4 inch, so I was not too concerned with it. If it was a former race car there is a strong possibility of some tweaking and twisting of the worlds worst invention, the unibody...

My suggestion, level out the front of the unibody, and then check to see how far out the rear is to see if it truly is concrete issues or a twisted body.

I do not plan on doing anything with the 1/4 twist in mine, by the time I add all the weight of the rear, front clip, engine, tranny, it will probably ride just fine. Although if you hear me complaining in a few years when I'm there, you have me on record saying this.
